Postgraduate Course in Heart Failure London (PCHF): 

This a course for cardiologists and residents with at least two years’ experience in cardiology coming from the UK, European countries and overseas. PCHF London started in January 2019 very successfully with its first module with a distinguished faculty from the United Kingdom and worldwide. Core Learning in Inherited Cardiac Conditions (CLICC):

The aim of this programme is to provide core training in inherited cardiac conditions (ICC). Increasingly many ICC patients will be managed in secondary care settings. Through the CLICC programme, the aim is to develop our current ICC workforce and to inspire the next generation of ICC specialists.

Curriculum: Six sessions per year

  • Modules covered in 2022:

    • Session 1: Introduction to ICC and genetics 

    • Session 2: Inherited cardiomyopathies 

    • Session 3: Inherited arrhythmia syndromes 

    • Session 4: Aortopathies and pregnancy

    • Session 5: Sports cardiology and genetics 

    • Session 6: Paediatrics, neuromuscular and mitochondrial disease

Association of inherited cardiac conditions (AICC) Conference 2022

The world of Inherited Cardiovascular Conditions is changing rapidly. Over two days a faculty of experts lead delegates through a series of lectures, case-based discussions and interactive Q&A sessions. 

​

Day 1, the annual meeting focused on how the rapid growth in genomics and understanding of disease pathophysiology has led to more precise clinical care. The meeting provided an update on latest guidelines and emerging evidence relevant to practicing clinicians.

​

Many UK medical trainees and allied health professionals find it difficult to access training in ICC and may feel ill-equipped at times to deal with these patients. To meet this training need, the AICC and Network for Inherited Cardiac Conditions Scotland (NICCS) joined forces to build a training day (Day 2) that met cardiology, clinical genetics and GIM curriculum needs and addressed the competency framework for nurses and genetic counsellors. This was an in-person event and was designed to be interactive and to enable networking
